  • Held memberships of several cancer charities and patient involvement groups in the UK including membership as a patient representative on the Scientific
    Advisory Committee for Breakthrough Breast Cancer 2004-08. Participant representative Breakthrough
    Generations Study, a study of over 100,000 women covering 50 years,
    investigating the effects of genetic, environmental, behavioural and
    hormonal factors on breast cancer.
  • Member, Strategy group for User Involvement Breast Cancer Care 2006-7.
  • Attended the San Antonio Breast Cancer Research Symposium December 2007 on behalf of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
  • Member, Peninsula Cancer Network Breast Cancer Site Specific Group. ( 2004-08).
  • Macmillan Cancer Support – Cancer Voices Trainer 2003-07.
  • National certificate in community volunteering 2008.

2008-11 Resident in New Zealand, 2009 attended the Annual Scientific Meeting of the New Zealand and Australia Breast Cancer Clinical Trials Group as a patient
advocate, in Darwin, Northern Territories, Australia. Committee member, Breast Cancer Aotearoa Coalition New Zealand 2009-11. Trustee, board member Cancer Voices NZ.

Working background: Private Healthcare, managing clinical specialists practice, 2-year part time project 2002-04 PPI Facilitator, Peninsula Cancer Network.
